recently I have media ripped in 1080i format, variable frame rate. Direct play result:

1. Android phone app : massive stutter and jitters. using Android VLC produce similar result.

2. iPad app : massive stutter and jittery.

3. emby theater PC app: smooth and zero issue.

4. Android TV : smooth with zero issue.

additional test. using emby web app on Android phone : smooth and zero issue ( server transcoding: deinterlace)

my ask: is there a way to force transcode an interlace's media, for phone's app client?

Hi, there is currently no option to do this, but this question has come up before and is possible for future updates. Thanks.
