Pastordl 0 Posted May 28, 2023 Posted May 28, 2023 Ever since the latest update any new episodes, movies etc come up in the library as "Played". Is there a glitch in the update or is there a setting that controls this? This never happened before the update. Yes I can switch the "Played" off but it's a pain since they have obviously not been played.

ebr 16187 Posted May 28, 2023 Posted May 28, 2023 Hi there, let's look at an example. Please attach the information requested in How to Report a Problem. Thanks!
Pastordl 0 Posted May 28, 2023 Author Posted May 28, 2023 Sorry about that. Read the instructions, got a phone call, sent the post. My multitasking days are over. Sent all three of today's logs to make sure. embyserver.txt ffmpeg-directstream-d026630f-c19f-4729-bd88-955a05d5a990_1.txt hardware_detection-63820858143.txt
Pastordl 0 Posted May 28, 2023 Author Posted May 28, 2023 Here is a screen shot showing the latest three movies downloaded and all marked "Played".
ebr 16187 Posted May 28, 2023 Posted May 28, 2023 Hi. Those look like TV episodes as opposed to movies. Are the provider IDs for the series and the season and episode numbers correct? Also, I believe they are old episodes (outer limits?) so are you sure that, at some point in the past you might not have either watched them or maybe marked a whole season as watched even before you had those episodes?
Pastordl 0 Posted May 28, 2023 Author Posted May 28, 2023 Yes they are TV Episodes from the Roku channel Yes the id's and season and episode numbers are correct. No I have not watched them in the past nor marked them as played. I only recently found the series on Roku and started downloading the the seasons a couple of weeks ago. The ones I downloaded before the 4.7.12 update had no problem and showed as unplayed in Emby after having downloading them with the same app as before the update. I have yet to get to watch any on season two or later yet. So could not have marked the seasons or episodes from 3 on as played because they were not even on my computer yet.
Pastordl 0 Posted May 28, 2023 Author Posted May 28, 2023 Also I only started using Emby since 9/16/23.

There was nothing in the update that would have any affect on this so I believe that is coincidental and something else is going on here.
Pastordl 0 Posted May 29, 2023 Author Posted May 29, 2023 (edited) I tried three things: 1. I downloaded an Amazon video and it came up correctly as un-played. 2. I did try the option to show missing episodes turned on. It made no difference still coming up as played. 3. Tried downloading Bones season 1 first two episodes and they came up as un-played. At this point I'm finishing the download of Outer Limits (1993) season 7. Will just mark the folder as played when complete. I have included the Log files FYI: ffmpeg-directstream-806657cc-0483-46d3-b52c-ce8403a5474e_1.txt hardware_detection-63820954013.txt embyserver-63820953991.txt hardware_detection-63820953098.txt embyserver.txt Edited May 29, 2023 by Pastordl
