qazwsx10 7 Posted May 27, 2023 Posted May 27, 2023 We don't use Emby on a daily basis, so our Emby server (PC) is normally on sleep until we actually need to use it. Occasionally when we access Emby on our Nvidia Shield, the PC will turn on, but even if we are playing content, the PC usually goes back to sleep in a few minutes (it doesn't go back to sleep if I manually turn it on). Does anyone have any strategies to help turn it on and keep it on? What I currently do is run over to the room with the computer and turn it on manually. Pretty minor since it only takes 30 seconds, but just seeing if there was an easier way to handle things. Appreciate it!
ebr 16169 Posted May 27, 2023 Posted May 27, 2023 Hi. The server shouldn't be sleeping if you are actively playing media. Can you look into the sleep settings on that machine and see if they are set too aggressively? 1
rbjtech 5284 Posted May 27, 2023 Posted May 27, 2023 You don't specify what OS - but in Windows it's this setting here - in Control Panel > Power Settings > Advanced 1
