gromans 3 Posted May 26, 2023 Posted May 26, 2023 When starting a 4K movie, the movie starts and plays with no problem. However, if you pause or stop the movie and start the movie back, the server uses all available RAM and the CPU's go crazy. I have attached the log file for review. ffmpeg-transcode-0e700ef1-8be2-4650-827e-19de2e9c3fe8_1.txt
Luke 42083 Posted May 26, 2023 Posted May 26, 2023 Hi, as a test, if you turn off the subtitles prior to playback, how does that compare?
gromans 3 Posted May 26, 2023 Author Posted May 26, 2023 Thank you for the reply. So the movie is never started with the titles turned on. Nether at the beginning or during a resume.
Luke 42083 Posted May 27, 2023 Posted May 27, 2023 Right so as a test, if you turn off the subtitles prior to playback, how does that compare?
gromans 3 Posted May 27, 2023 Author Posted May 27, 2023 So strange enough, the subtitles were by default set to "NONE". Changed the subtitles to something other that "none", then set the subtitles back to "None" and that worked. All this selecting of the subtitles were preformed before starting the movie. Very strange. I have attached the log file for you to review. ffmpeg-remux-e706a152-5f0e-4202-b8a0-ca4feb28dfc9_1.txt ffmpeg-remux-c7250f4a-1cfc-4f1e-b07f-d436a10084ec_1.txt

Luke 42083 Posted May 27, 2023 Posted May 27, 2023 What’s happening here is the Roku does not support that format subtitles, so the server has to transcode them, but there’s an error when trying to do this. So that’s why you’re able to play with the subtitles disabled. We’ll take a look at the transcoding error. Thanks.
