Hoping to troubleshoot some issues with live TV playback

Hello,

I'm having a number of issues with playing back live TV from an HDHomerun Flex 4K.

The first issue is sometimes player will get stuck on a frame, while audio considers normally, and will stay there until I hit "attempt playback correction."

I'll also occasionally get some artifacting, which I would normally just chalk up to reception issues, but the HDhomerun says it has good signal strength and quality.

Lastly, for some ATSC 3.0 stations, they just wont' play. I'll select to play them, and it will do the loading circle, and hang at about 26%, and then just a black screen with no playback controls. I don't think these aren't DRM 3.0 stations, as those are noted in the HDHomerun channel list, and when I attempt to play them, Emby gives me an error. This there's nothing.

Really not sure what is needed in the way of logs, and these issues are pretty intermittent, so I can't really identify when they are going to happen, but I'm attaching the last few, that at least had one instance where I needed to attempt a playback correction on a frozen frame.

Any help would be really appreciated.

I’m not sure I follow. You mean side load it onto the computer and run the android app as the server? Or side load it to the TVs to watch with?

Hi.  He means installing it on the TV.

I'm experiencing the issue with the ATSC 3.0 playback on Roku and iOS devices. So I don't think I'm able to sideload an android app to those. FWIW I just tested the two stations I'm having a problem with on the windows 11 app, and they worked fine.

Hi.  Is it possible for you to spin up a temporary portable install of the beta server and see how that compares?  ffmpeg is not able to deal with that stream it appears.

@apmanleyare you still running into this? Can you please try the latest  beta server build combined with the latest update to Emby for Roku? Thanks !
