Music video folders

Can someone please explain to me how the "Folders" view is supposed to work for Music Videos? I tried making genre folders to bring some semblance of organization to it but the Folders view doesn't seem to really do anything.

I've found several threads on how the library should be organized but nothing very current it seems.

Not using Music Videos, but assuming I correctly understood what you're after, you would want to add each of those genre folders separately as library paths instead of single Music Videos root so they'd show as individual items under Folders view.

Yeah, library is configured with type Music Video. Create subfolder "Eurovision". Drop videos files into Eurovision folder. Rescan library. Switch to folder view. Don't see anything that looks like a folder 

Maybe it would be easier to just switch the library type to one that supports viewing by genre and use genre tagging in the metadata. Imvdb doesn't seem to be working reliably for me anyways

So, assuming:

\Music Videos

     \Eurovision

     \Concerts

     \(whatever) 

Instead of having "Music Videos" parent folder as your library path in your MV Library settings, add each subfolder separately.

@GrimReaperthis still isn't working. I just reorganized my entire library so that all of the music video files are in separate folders, and added each of those folders to the library config, and now the individual videos are no longer displaying.

What I want is in the 'Videos' view every individual video to be displayed, and in the 'Folders' view the videos to be grouped into the folder which I've arranged on the file system per your advice.

With each video in a top level folder intermixed I get individual songs but the folder view has nothing.
With each video in a genre folder with a mixture of other videos in the same genre I get a single video labeled the genre (looks like the first one in the folder in the file system), but the folder view works.

So I guess I'm just going to switch the library type to something else so I can use metadata genre tagging. From my perspective the Music Video library type is broken.

Not sure I understood that one, care to share some screenshots so we could get a better idea about the issue?
