WyattZirbel 16 Posted May 17, 2023 Posted May 17, 2023 I understand this bug is very specific but here goes. I have a DirecTV Stream box and a Pioneer home theater setup. Whenever I rewind what I’m watching, it makes my home theater receiver click as if the input type had changed. For example, when I turn my TV on, it would click initially but never again unless you change input sources with the receiver. It only happens when I rewind not when it pauses.
WyattZirbel 16 Posted May 17, 2023 Author Posted May 17, 2023 I tried it again after leaving the show on and it stopped. If nobody can come up with any ideas, I can try some more steps, if it’s worth it.
Luke 42077 Posted May 18, 2023 Posted May 18, 2023 HI, what are you playing when this happens? Is it direct playing from the server, or is there transcoding involved?
ebr 16169 Posted May 18, 2023 Posted May 18, 2023 Hi. More than likely it is bitstreaming audio. My Pioneer receiver always muted itself (with an audible click) whenever the audio stream was interrupted like it will be for a pause or seek operation. You could look in your DTV box settings and see if there is something labeled something like "HDMI comfort noise" for an option. 1
