Why is the Alexaskill only for English guys? Would be nice if you could integrate Emby into the Smarthome in other languages.

At some point I had seen an older thread where this was brought up before....... too bad you won't even give an approximate time frame.....

At the time about 1.5 years ago we were hoping to have added German and French languages to our voice offerings, but it didn't happen as we would have liked. That is always the problem with announcing any type of timeline or future feature before it's ready. Far too many things can change scheduling or priorities. 

AI is changing at such a fast pace that natural languages probably won't much matter in the near future. Some of the current AI stuff being shown will make Siri, Alexa and Google's current products seem stone age.

Somehow I don't really believe in it. It was not even managed to adjust the font size in this Emby Android App 3.2.xx.xx. Which was also requested and promised a long time ago.

HI, Emby for Alexa is released. What makes you think that it's not released?

A number of years ago i was using Alexa to control my Emby database but it was clunky.

I have since revisited this and have the Emby skill added to my alexa and it says welcome to Emby but says it needs after i say switch to Emby. Which is cool. But it says unauthorized, clients needs to authenticate.

So i am not sure were to authenticate. AS this skill is enabled and linked to my Emby account.

I am so tired of researching voice control, did it 6 years ago and still it has not advanced mainly because of all the restrictions the manufacturers put on there devices. 
 

Anyways is there any combination of devices that will allow me to control my Emby database with voice control ?

Hi Luke.

This is what it did say "Unauthorized, clients need to authenticate" 

I do have access to my Emby database outside of my network so i know that's all working. Unless I need to do some port forwarding ?

Please unlink your account from the Emby skill by going to the skill settings and disabling the skill. Once disabled, re-enable the skill and re-link your account.
