Sylv1234 2 Posted May 17, 2023 Posted May 17, 2023 Hello Guys, I have a local setup with ember server on raspberry pi. I used to be able to connect two iPads (though the dedicated App) and one roku with the dedicated roku App. Now I can only connect from iPads through web browsers (Firefox, Safari). The iOS and Roku Apps will not connect and will always say "The Emby server needs to be updated. To download the latest version..." I had been working fine for a long time. I am not 100% sure what triggered the change. Maybe a restart of my whole network (cable modem-router-AP) I did the sudo apt-get update, sudo apt-get upgrade embed-server and the version is still 4.6.3.0 Any advice? Thanks
Luke 42077 Posted May 17, 2023 Posted May 17, 2023 Hi, are you able to update to a newer version of Emby Server? How did you install the server?
Sylv1234 2 Posted May 17, 2023 Author Posted May 17, 2023 I don’t remember how I installed it in the first place. I will try removing the whole server and reinstall from scratch.

Sylv1234 2 Posted May 17, 2023 Author Posted May 17, 2023 Thanks Luke. Just to be sure, when you say “install over the top”, do you mean apt-get update/upgrade or something else? Sorry I am no expert.

If that's how you originally installed, then you should be able to do that.
Sylv1234 2 Posted May 19, 2023 Author Posted May 19, 2023 Wow. That was easy. I just had to figure out which Debian distro to use and then it took 3 lines. done. Big thanks Luke 1
