eyeless77 0 Posted May 15, 2023 Posted May 15, 2023 I have an Emby Server deployed on a seedbox (giga-rapid). I would like to use Emby Connect feature. I go to app.emby.media and enter my server address details. As it's sitting behind a reverse proxy on a seedbox, I guess, I enter my personal URL starting with "https" with no port defined, as described in my seedbox manual. For the first time it works great, but when I try to use this feature on another device such as Smart TV or iPhone app, on "Select server" page I can see the server name that I defined, and the server address is overridden with a private IP address of the seedbox, instead of using my personal URL. Obviously I get a connection failure error accessing this server and have to re-enter it manually. I don't want Emby Connect to override any settings that I entered manually with either private or public IP of the server. Is there any option to lock the server address that I entered manually?

I have a user on Emby Server associated with Emby Connect e-mail address, that doesn't solve anything. I still can see only private IP address of the server on Emby Connect page (https://app.emby.media).

Paul Well, I didn't notice this field. The problem is that I can specify only the domain name, but not the Base URL. To be precise, the full URL to the Emby Server is something like https://sub.domain.com/emby/user But in network settings I can only specify the domain part like this https://sub.domain.com After server restart I can see on the settings main page that remote URL has been changed from IP address to the domain name and port. But it is unaccessible through this path. Is there any option to specify Base URL? Radarr and Sonarr do have this options.
Luke 42083 Posted May 15, 2023 Posted May 15, 2023 Emby apps will automatically add /emby, so that’s handled. There’s currently no way to add anything additional underneath that.
