Zauberwaldi 4 Posted May 14, 2023 Posted May 14, 2023 Hi all. Currently i use TMM to get the Initial nfo, artwork etc. My process: rip my dvds/bds, scan with TMM and then run the Emby Libary Scan. Media is saved to the Media folder. After the scan i check the Parrentlal Ratings via Reports and then Bulk lock the nfos in TMM. Now i would like to cut the TMM process and also want to save the Art into the AppData Metadata folder. I know if i change the Settings in Emby this only Affects New Added Media and i would need to re-add everything that exists currently. That wouldnt be the Problem. If i Understand that Correctly only Artworks would be saved in the Metadata folder and the nfo in the Media folder, right? Currently i name my Movie Folders like 2 Fast 2 Furious (2003) [tmdbid=584] with TMM after the Scan. Is there a way in Emby to make this too? Im in Germany and somethings i had Problems in the Past with only Movie Name (Year), somethings because of double Names, wrong years because of Local Release etc. and after i changed that, i hadnt problems. This is just for Future if i somehow lose my Nfos etc. I want to move the Media to my SSD because of Loadtimes and also dosnt want to Spin Up my HDDs everytime someone only Scrolls through the Libary. Thanks

Nope, you'd need only to Refresh Metadata on existing items. 43 minutes ago, Zauberwaldi said: That wouldnt be the Problem. If you set your library options as such, correct. 43 minutes ago, Zauberwaldi said: Currently i name my Movie Folders like 2 Fast 2 Furious (2003) [tmdbid=584] with TMM after the Scan. For the Refresh option, would it read the current artwork and just save it into the Metadata Folder or download everything new? And for the Libary Options i only see Save Artwork in Media Folder Checkbox, or do i missunderstand the Nfo Checkbox above the Artwork Providers?

If you tick Replace existing images on Refresh metadata, it'd redownload them. 10 minutes ago, Zauberwaldi said: And for the Libary Options i only see Save Artwork in Media Folder Checkbox, or do i missunderstand the Nfo Checkbox above the Artwork Providers? NFOs can only be saved in media folders, hence if you enable Metadata Savesr>Nfo they'll be saved there else they're not written at all, it's db only in that case. Artwork can either be saved in server metadata folder or together with media, depending whether you selected Save artwork in media folders or not.
