Issues watching a recording still in progress

Ive looked in the forums, and while Ive seen people report similar issues, I cant seem to find the solution.

The problem as to do with watching a program that is still recording.  Let's say I am recording the news from 6pm to 6:30pm, and I start to watch it at 6:10pm.  The program starts playing fine, but at the 10 minute mark it stops playing.  I have to reload the show.  I start playing it again at 6:20pm, and now it will play until the 20 minute mark.  Again I have to reload the show.

It seems to me that Emby is just picking up whatever piece of the program it has recorded at the time you start watching.  It doesnt seem to be able to "tack on" the part of the program that aired after you started viewing it.

Is there anything that can be done about this?  Some setting Im missing?
