Getting a "to many errors giving up" message

when i try to play anything on shield server it comes up 

with this message "to many errors giving up"

i have a zappiti neo player set up to the same and it plays with no problem 

It was working fine a hour or 2 ago

Hi.  Looks like permissions or file access issues.  Were there any ffmpeg logs?

You are also using the beta but I'm not sure if that is related.

I added a test music folder with one song 

into same drive where everything is 

and it played

Yep, looks like file permissions issues - which can be very tricky on Android.

Server returned 401 Unauthorized (authorization failed)

I decided to uninstall the beta server and installed the stable version instead which will take a long time populate

Unfortunately it is giving the error again and wont play anything

You are going to need to investigate the file access permissions for the server and be sure you have mounted volumes and given access to apps.

Server Installation on Shield TV

I reset my shield to factory settings then reinstalled emby server on shield

and i left it overnight to populate but it did not scan so i added the libraries again it scanned this time but getting the same

error "to many errors giving up "

so have gone back to my emby server on pc

Hi Luke

ok Things have been happening I have it working on shield now (sort of)

It scraped most of my movies BUT only 29 of 44 of tv series 

no matter what i do i can't get it to scrape all tv series here is log

I had a look at log myself now I know nothing at all about how emby works but i seen this

 Error getting files from smb://zappiti4kdv/ZappitiHDD_6393_c866/Tv Series

now i had not added this folder.       i then checked and found I have not added this folder 

/storage/ZAPPITI4KDV/ZappitiHDD_6393_c866/Tv Series 

so added this and waiting to see if all tv series appear
