hjason7812 34 Posted May 11, 2023 Posted May 11, 2023 (edited) Hello i just purchased a new 65 inch google tv and i went from a roku to this on roku emby has a resolution selector to go from 480p to 4k resolutons and speeds which i don't quite understand the speeds other than 30 and 60 but i am here to ask why the google tv emby app does not have the same exact selections for the resoluion section? as in for example there isn't a selection for any resolutions at all just the speeds in mb/s thats it.. i love my tv but the app needs a little work i dont know if its just my tv brand that has this issue or it is all google tv's that have this issue on the emby app. i have noticed that my new tv also isn't allowing every single google store app to be downloaded like other google tv's do so that makes it seem like this tv is restricted somehow and not a full google tv or something.. so someone please let me know if this can be fixed and how it can be if i can fix it. Thank you Edited May 11, 2023 by hjason7812
ebr 16179 Posted May 11, 2023 Posted May 11, 2023 Hi. The resolution values in that menu are somewhat mis-leading as it is really the bitrate driving everything but, can you try sideloading our standard android app on the same device and see how that compares? https://emby.media/emby-for-android.html Thanks.

Thanks for the reply, I would side load but I have no idea how to on a TV. Is there any detailed info on how to side load apps onto Google tv's? Also looked at the link you gave me, and it has arm and x86 apk app downloads. I have no idea what my TV has for a cpu and don't know how to find out either. I have a hisense 65inch u8h mini led qled series quantum 4k tv Thanks Edited May 11, 2023 by hjason7812

It would just tell you that it's not compatible if you try to install the wrong one.
