imjustleaving 2 Posted May 10, 2023 Posted May 10, 2023 i am having a weird issue for some media. take the new show Silo for example. It plays fine on my PC but on my samsung TV it skips about every 5 seconds. i also see image tearing and ghosting. I thought it might be the transcode, but its direct play. then i thought it was the encode (shouldnt have been since it was h264 1080p) so i switched to the 4k version. same issues. does anyone know what the problem might be?

imjustleaving 2 Posted May 10, 2023 Author Posted May 10, 2023 sorry. first time post-er. emby server is being run on truenas (debian-based linux) version 4.7.11. emby app on samsung tv is 1.0.94 over 5ghz wifi. logs for date in question (5/9) attached. embyserver-63819273600.txt
Luke 42081 Posted May 14, 2023 Posted May 14, 2023 Hi, thanks. there's nothing obvious here. Can you try installing our latest update over USB and see if that helps? https://emby.media/emby-for-samsung-smart-tv.html It could also just be an issue with the Samsung video player for certain files.
