Unfortunately the plugin by shurelol isn't longer maintained and does not work with 4.9. 
In order to make it work you need to add it manually.
You'll find the source here: https://github.com/newday-life/emby-web-mod/tree/main   
There you go to "emby-swiper". 
There's two versions. One with images and one with trailers. 
You download the emby-swiper.js to the same folder where the index.html of the emby-webapp is.  
You give read-access to the emby-user. 
And as told in the github you add 

<script type="text/javascript" src="emby-swiper.js"></script>

to your index.html. 
The options for it are in the beginning of the emby-swiper.js. 
Embedding some scripts from third parties is always dangerous and the JS can basically do everything in the browser of your user so caution is necessary. 
The emby-swiper.js seems to be overall ok. 
It embeds at the bottom a pretty big obfuscated codeblock from https://swiperjs.com . 
I compared it roughly with the source from https://www.jsdelivr.com/package/npm/swiper?tab=files&version=11.1.14   
and it seems to be the same but nonetheless i would take the original code and replace the code from newday-life, just to be sure.
