Remote control on other device

Hi Redshirt, first of all, your lastests updates are really nice improved. Congratulation and continu your good job.

 

I have a question. Is it normal I can control other device that are logged with the same login? For example, I have 2 users available for login. HTPC and ADMIN. My htpc computer is logged with "HTPC" user and me, I'm logged with "ADMIN" user on my tablet. But for now, I cannot remote control my HTPC??? I need to loggin with "HTPC" user on my tablet to be able to control it.

 

Can this be configurable? I would like very much to don't switch between user to be able to control different device.

The client is now honoring the server setting. If you navigate into the account settings on the server dashboard. For each user there's an option to "Allow remote control of other users".

Hi Redshirt, thanks for the fast response.

 

I already check these setting and both are checked. Before your big recent release (I think is from 2 weeks) if I remember wel, it worked. Moreover, when I go to server dashboard with different login, it works anyway.... Only on Android it doesn't works.

I'm not able to reproduce with my current dev builds. We'll have to see if it's still an issue after the next update.

Leaving unanswered for now. I mean the dev builds of the Android client. Shouldn't be more than a few days before it's public.

Ok fine,

 

I retest it by deinstall/reinstall server and android app but it doesn't works anymore. I can only remote control the device that are logged with the same user than I logged on my android tablet.

 

Server Version 3.0.5395.0

MB Classic Version 3.0.224.0

Android: 2.0.87

Hi Redshirt,

 

Just to let you know that I've test the problem on my Brother's HPTC setup and it does the same problem. So, I believe there is a problem somewhere to return the list of device available for remote. BUT, there is only the Android that have the problem. It works well from the web browser.
