deibit 18 Posted May 3, 2023 Posted May 3, 2023 (edited) I searched this in the forum but I didn't find actual information about it. Is there a possibility / plan to have the ISO Metadata extracted from Emby and then shown as it does with MKV? In case Emby cannot/willnot do that.. is there an external metadata/cataloguing tool that could do that? (generate the Emby catalogue with metadata extraction) I don't need ISO transcoding or even ISO playing, I just use Emby as a frontend/cataloguer.. the actual ISO play is taken by the DLNA server (final output device is OPPO) Thanks! Luke 42083 Posted May 3, 2023 Posted May 3, 2023 HI, what metadata do you mean? You can still obtain internet metadata for .iso files just like you would with video files.
deibit 18 Posted May 3, 2023 Author Posted May 3, 2023 I mean metadata like resolution, HDR format, languages, subtitles, etc. ..

deibit 18 Posted May 3, 2023 Author Posted May 3, 2023 Yes I guess.. that's why I wondered if there's such thing like an external library manager/generator that is able to generate an emby compatible library (in case emby doesn't want to go that route) There are players (e.g. Zidoo) that can do it (parse video/audio formats from ISO files), so obviously it is not impossible..

Not that I know of, sorry.
