Internet radio playback error depending on library type

Hi,

I am running emby server version 4.7.11.0 in docker, and I am experiencing a strange issue when I try to playback a few internet radios (eg all the bbc stations) through strm files.

In particular, these radios are streamed with no issue if they are managed via a Home Video type library, but a "No compatible streams..." playback error is returned if they are managed through a Music type library.

Apparently the radios with problems are the ones based on .m3u streams.

Attached there are the logs related to the succesful playback with a Home Video library (embyserver-bbc-radio-4-ok.txt and ffmpeg-transcode-3f5320d2-c5f3-4441-a5a5-cedc2b96573a_1-bbc-radio-4-ok.txt) and to the unsuccesful playback with a Music library (embyserver-bbc-radio-4-ko.txt), the screenshot of the playback error (error-no-compatible-streams.png), the strm file containing the reference to the data stream (bbc-radio-4.strm).

Personally I would prefer to manage the internet radios through a Music type library.

Any help/suggestion would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Maurizio

HI, I think there's a good chance this is resolved in the upcoming 4.8 server release.
