Kodi companion installed

Hi,

I have kodi companion installed with Emby server 4.7.11 in Docker.

 I wanted to know does it help.
Does it help if I uninstall it?

Is it interfering at all with this server version or upcoming newer server versions.

HI, This is something you would use in conjunction with the Emby for Kodi addon in Kodi. If you're not using that, then you have no need for the companion plugin.

I am Emby kodi next gen  ver 8.1.3

would that need companion?

also if i uninstall it will it be available if i need to reinstall.

Yes it will.

The server plugin is not mandatory but it helps notify the addon a little quicker of changes in your library so that it can resync.
