Pejamas 57 Posted April 11, 2025 Author Posted April 11, 2025 Current WIP Full TMDB integration with auto suggestion search and meta data info (alternate option ontop of manually adding a poster) Plan to integrate radarr API to match to the root path of the movie you searched/added and have it save as poster.jpg in the movie folder path so emby auto populates the new image. 2

If I could make a suggestion. It’d be great if this application could work as a plugin instead, so for those of us with remote servers (especially when headless) can utilize this application from any browser within Emby. Rather than trying to use the root path on the server requiring root writing perms, the plugin could instead download the current image that’s used for the media within Emby, save it in a folder within the plugin called “poster originals” where each poster file is named the same as the exact media ID number (or some other format to match), copy and add overlays on top saved into another folder called “poster overlays”, and upload them to the correct Emby media locking the poster metadata so it doesn’t change. Alternatively you could allow the application to run on a scheduled task, so if the poster changes as metadata gets updated it reruns this process skipping posters with overlays already added updates new posters with overlays (it’d delete the old original poster and add the new original poster). The idea of not touching the root path and allow saving original posters could also allow the option to revert all overlays applied, so if someone wanted to go back to default they could. Especially helpful for those with large sized libraries (1,000+) where manual intervention isn’t ideal. Utilizing a process like this would allow for complete automation and plugin support for a wider use case. Also this similar to how Kometa works when updating posters with overlays for Plex which is fairly efficient. Edited April 24, 2025 by ZLuckyTraveler

I get what you're saying but unfortunately creating a plugin involves way more coding knowledge than I possess and I much prefer the implementation of a per item intervention than a slap on everything approach tbh. I have a huge library and it takes barely any time to update an existing library.

I have a huge library and it takes barely any time to update an existing library. I can understand the limitations of knowledge and abilities for plugin creation, although unfortunate. I have a massive library of over 50,000+ titles, and this wouldn’t be very efficient for me. I like many other use dedicated libraries for specific quality based media like 4K, HDR, Dolby Vision. Even for those that don’t use dedicated libraries, the Metadata is already included for each title to match to, whether it be resolution, HDR format, audio codec, tags, etc. I hope someone else could pick this up and create a plugin in the way I described. MayoGhul 0 Posted October 30, 2025 Posted October 30, 2025 I realize I am responding to some old threads here, but I made png files with correct font for Dolby Atmos I just cant figure out how to add them to the program. Only workaround Ive found is to use the same file names as the existing images and run two versions. I'd be happy to share them or have someone explain how to add to the drop down in the tool.

MayoGhul 0 Posted October 31, 2025 Posted October 31, 2025 That would be awesome! I'm happy to go back after and add a few more as well. I could make a DOLBY 5.1, Dolby 7.1 and/or some DTS-X, TrueHD etc. Not sure if there is a consensus on what folks would want
MayoGhul 0 Posted November 11, 2025 Posted November 11, 2025 Here are a few more. Would love to see these added
