Media hosted on QNAP NAS

Hi guys, I currently have Emby and the media hosted directly on my QNAP NAS, however I've occasionally ran into issues with transcoding performance occasionally

What I want to do is move the Emby software onto my server and point the server to my NAS, is there a best way to go about this?

I was thinking of just mapping the NAS to the server and then pointing Emby on the new server to look at the media on the NAS that way.

 

Any better suggestions then that would be appreciated.
