After playing an episode in a series, the episode(s) are hidden

I noticed this anomaly early last year and just nuked the Emby, but this is tedious.  These past few weeks, I have noticed that after playing an episode from any TV series, the episode is then hidden from the the series.  When I check the NAS, all episodes are still there but the ones watched are hidden from view on Emby.  Hide fully played content from latest media is not checked off in Home Screen.  I have even tried to check them all off as watched and then uncheck them again to start anew and that does not work either, just gets me back where I was.   I am not sure how or when this started, just noticed it a few weeks ago.  Any ideas?
