amateurgod 33 Posted April 12, 2023 Posted April 12, 2023 Hey everyone so i have an Nginx reverse proxy + Firewall set up so that the only external access to my emby server is via https://mysubdomain.mydomain.co.uk however this defaults to https://mysubdomain.mydomain.co.uk/web/index.html#!/* (With the * representing whatever page im on i.e home etc) i have tried to use Nginxs rewrite module to try to remove the /web/index.html#! part of the domain as i just want it to look neat and tidy. so i have this at the start of my location / block for the emby server block rewrite ^/web/index.html#!/(.*)$ /$1 permanent; However the /web/index.html#! still remains part of the domain even after clearing the cache. The rewrite module works for all the other domains and subdomains i have on the server, just not for emby. does anyone have any experience on how i can successfully do this?
Luke 42078 Posted April 12, 2023 Posted April 12, 2023 Hi, we're using a technique called hash bangs. I'm not sure this is going to work with url rewriting.
