Parental Ratings edited in database do not update

Hi all.

I have a little problem.

I added a user for my nephew and set the parental controll to DE/FSK 12

Then i switched user to look over the db and saw some movies/series that are above the limit i made.

Splatter stuff etc which is 18+ here and also some stuff that is rated from 0-12 is hidden.

So i searched the forum for a mass edit option because editing over 500 movies etc... would take like forever.

But didnt found one.

Now i edited them with DB Browser for SQLite. I see the changes on the movie overview, but the parental filter seems like to not filter the new edits i made.

Is there any way to reload the "OfficialRating" part from the db file? I tried a rescan of the libary but it didnt work.

Or do i have to change something else in the db to get the filter to work. The Overview part works but the filter not.

Hi, editing the db will be difficult because there are two columns:

• OfficialRating
• InheritedParentalRatingValue - this is the numeric version of OfficialRating

So if you're going to change one, it should be both.

You can use this plugin

But some specific example of Parental Ratings issues would be needed as your ratings could be considered UNKNOWN depending on the specific rating.
