Direct Play multi Client on a single Stream on Live TV not working.

Hi,

 

What is the proper setting to have multi user direct play on a single channel/stream to work. 

 

Right now, I can have multi user direct play on different channels theres is no issue.

But as soon, 2 users wants to watch the same channel on m3u/live. The 2nd user gets an error. Yes. I have 5 connection limit  on my supplier. And It does work on computer or phone using vlc or smarter. 2 person can watch the same stream. Only in Emby, it doesnt work. Maybe because I only do direct play. Or transcoding is needed for multi-direct play one stream.

 

Is emby able to multi-direct play on a single stream when source is .ts ?

Can Emby do FWD all live url only, maybe I can avoid that situation?

 

And no, I dont want emby to transcode or convert from ts to hls. It will slow down the process.

Not all client apps/devices direct play ts files, if you've disabled audio and/or video transcoding for a user, it might lead to issues.

But I only accept devices that can direct play TS. Roku/LG/Xbox. When 1 roku device can direct play a channel theres no issue. When a 2nd roku device tries to play that same channel its doesnt work.

 

Is there a special method to allow 2 or more device to direct play the same channel .ts at the same time? My guess, is that it would of in hls. Because hls is splitted already.  So it doesnt matter if 2 or 10 devices are using the same channel it will work. But  I didnt see settings for buffer for hls or .ts ?
