Spyderturbo007 19 Posted April 7, 2023 Posted April 7, 2023 (edited) I ran into a permission issue with unRAID that I think I've resolved. The problem is that I just realized that all my media for the last few months is missing the image files that Emby used to save to the folder when scanning the library. If I open the Metadata manager, find the file and click the three dots it will save the episode image. Is there a way to have Emby scrub back through automatically and fill in what is missing? I tried a library scan, but that doesn't seem to add the files. I'm missing poster files for some seasons, NFOs, etc. Thank you! Edited April 7, 2023 by Spyderturbo007
Happy2Play 9780 Posted April 7, 2023 Posted April 7, 2023 That is the thing are the images missing via the UI as I believe Emby will fallback to /metadata folder when write with media fails. You may have to Refresh search for miss w/replace images to rewrite them to with media.
visproduction 315 Posted April 8, 2023 Posted April 8, 2023 Try removing the dash in the name. I think that the Season and Episode numbers S17E08 needs to appear in the filename, before any dash. Hope that helps.

Spyderturbo007 19 Posted April 10, 2023 Author Posted April 10, 2023 I'm having a hard time getting that to work. Let's say I'm trying to get all the images for the show Battlebots. There are 8 seasons, so when I'm in the metadata manager, I see this: >Battlebots >>>>Season 1 >>>>>>>>S01E01 >>>>>>>>S01E02 >>>>Season 2 At each level, I can choose the 3 dots and then Refresh Metadata, check the box next to "Replace all images" and then hit OK. The issue is that doesn't seem to be working if I select the show Battlebots at the top level or even at the season level. Do I have to do that with each individual show? If I'm at the S01E01 level and click the 3 dots, it seems to save the image automatically as it loads the little thumbnail for the episode, so a refresh isn't even necessary. This is the image I'm referring to. It saves it in the media folder as soon as I click the three dots, but I can't get it to load an entire Season or show. I'm having to do each episode manually.

Hi, you can just do it at the series level, you don't have to do it for every single episode. The problem is there's no way to monitor the progress in emby server at this time, so that can lead you into thinking it's not working, but just give it time.

It wouldn't take a few days would it? I see log entries for what I think are the image downloads. It looks like it's working but not saving them for some reason. But I am able to do it at the episode level by clicking the three dots so it loads the thumbnail. 2023-04-10 07:38:39.214 Info MediaProbeManager: ProcessRun 'ffprobe' Execute: /bin/ffprobe -i file:"/mnt/user/TV Shows/BattleBots (2015)/Season 8/BattleBots (2015) S08E04.mkv" -threads 0 -v info -print_format json -show_streams -show_chapters -show_format -show_data 2023-04-10 07:38:39.306 Info MediaProbeManager: ProcessRun 'ffprobe' Process exited with code 0 - Succeeded 2023-04-10 07:38:39.374 Info HttpClient: GET https://api.themoviedb.org/3/tv/62959/season/8/episode/4?api_key=x_secret1_x&append_to_response=images,external_ids,credits,videos&language=en&include_image_language=en,null 2023-04-10 07:38:39.498 Info MediaProbeManager: ProcessRun 'ffprobe' Execute: /bin/ffprobe -i file:"/mnt/user/TV Shows/BattleBots (2015)/Season 8/Battlebots (2015) S08E06.mkv" -threads 0 -v info -print_format json -show_streams -show_chapters -show_format -show_data 2023-04-10 07:38:39.572 Info MediaProbeManager: ProcessRun 'ffprobe' Process exited with code 0 - Succeeded 2023-04-10 07:38:39.674 Info HttpClient: GET https://api.themoviedb.org/3/tv/62959/season/8/episode/6?api_key=x_secret1_x&append_to_response=images,external_ids,credits,videos&language=en&include_image_language=en,null 2023-04-10 07:38:39.785 Info MediaProbeManager: ProcessRun 'ffprobe' Execute: /bin/ffprobe -i file:"/mnt/user/TV Shows/BattleBots (2015)/Season 8/Battlebots (2015) S08E05.mkv" -threads 0 -v info -print_format json -show_streams -show_chapters -show_format -show_data 2023-04-10 07:38:39.880 Info MediaProbeManager: ProcessRun 'ffprobe' Process exited with code 0 - Succeeded 2023-04-10 07:38:39.974 Info HttpClient: GET https://api.themoviedb.org/3/tv/62959/season/8/episode/5?api_key=x_secret1_x&append_to_response=images,external_ids,credits,videos&language=en&include_image_language=en,null 2023-04-10 07:38:40.049 Info MediaProbeManager: ProcessRun 'ffprobe' Execute: /bin/ffprobe -i file:"/mnt/user/TV Shows/BattleBots (2015)/Season 8/Battlebots (2015) S08E07.mkv" -threads 0 -v info -print_format json -show_streams -show_chapters -show_format -show_data 2023-04-10 07:38:40.121 Info MediaProbeManager: ProcessRun 'ffprobe' Process exited with code 0 - Succeeded 2023-04-10 07:38:40.275 Info HttpClient: GET https://api.themoviedb.org/3/tv/62959/season/8/episode/7?api_key=x_secret1_x&append_to_response=images,external_ids,credits,videos&language=en&include_image_language=en,null 2023-04-10 07:38:40.454 Info MediaProbeManager: ProcessRun 'ffprobe' Execute: /bin/ffprobe -i file:"/mnt/user/TV Shows/BattleBots (2015)/Season 8/Battlebots (2015) S08E08.mkv" -threads 0 -v info -print_format json -show_streams -show_chapters -show_format -show_data 2023-04-10 07:38:40.539 Info MediaProbeManager: ProcessRun 'ffprobe' Process exited with code 0 - Succeeded 2023-04-10 07:38:40.574 Info HttpClient: GET https://api.themoviedb.org/3/tv/62959/season/8/episode/8?api_key=x_secret1_x&append_to_response=images,external_ids,credits,videos&language=en&include_image_language=en,null 2023-04-10 07:38:40.681 Info MediaProbeManager: ProcessRun 'ffprobe' Execute: /bin/ffprobe -i file:"/mnt/user/TV Shows/BattleBots (2015)/Season 8/Battlebots (2015) S08E09.mkv" -threads 0 -v info -print_format json -show_streams -show_chapters -show_format -show_data 2023-04-10 07:38:40.741 Info MediaProbeManager: ProcessRun 'ffprobe' Process exited with code 0 - Succeeded 2023-04-10 07:38:40.874 Info HttpClient: GET https://api.themoviedb.org/3/tv/62959/season/8/episode/9?api_key=x_secret1_x&append_to_response=images,external_ids,credits,videos&language=en&include_image_language=en,null 2023-04-10 07:38:40.990 Info MediaProbeManager: ProcessRun 'ffprobe' Execute: /bin/ffprobe -i file:"/mnt/user/TV Shows/BattleBots (2015)/Season 8/Battlebots (2015) S08E10.mkv" -threads 0 -v info -print_format json -show_streams -show_chapters -show_format -show_data 2023-04-10 07:38:41.080 Info MediaProbeManager: ProcessRun 'ffprobe' Process exited with code 0 - Succeeded
