Maybe he means this, https://www.themoviedb.org/movie/75174-the-grey. But just a guess. Not sure why he put **** instead of the actual year, strange...

As denoted in the KB article: Quote ID Tags in Folder & File Names Emby can also read a Meta-Data ID from the name. Format: Name (Year) [tmdbid=xxxx] Example: Alone (2020) [tmdbid=509635] Emby supports the following tags with the host website for lookup. tmdbid (https://www.themoviedb.org/) imdbid (https://www.imdb.com/) tvdbid (https://thetvdb.com/) Note: tmdbid is the prefered tag to use for most uses https://support.emby.media/support/solutions/articles/44001159102-movie-naming 1
kmjsmith 0 Posted April 6, 2023 Author Posted April 6, 2023 Yeh sorry I put (xxxx) because I didn't know the year. But the year is 2011.
Junglejim 385 Posted April 6, 2023 Posted April 6, 2023 (edited) Is it this movie? If it is try (2012)... That could fix it maybe Edited April 6, 2023 by Junglejim
Junglejim 385 Posted April 6, 2023 Posted April 6, 2023 (edited) That's weird, I just DL the movie "The Grey (2011)" (mybad ) to test and it scraped fine with the same naming as you "The Grey (2011)/The Grey (2011).mp4" Notice the year is scraped 2012 from TMDB even though I named the movie 2011.. How are your Movie Metadata Downloaders ordered? Edited April 6, 2023 by Junglejim
pwhodges 2012 Posted April 6, 2023 Posted April 6, 2023 (edited) In case of difficulty identifying, it is always worthwhile to look up the movie/series manually on the appropriate website (TMDB, TVDB) to see what their preferred form of the name is and what year they have recorded. Then adjust your naming to match your preferred source for that item type and you should have no more problems. In rare extreme cases (e.g. multiple movies with the same name and year - it happens!), adding the site's id may be necessary for automatic recognition. Paul Edited April 6, 2023 by pwhodges 1
