Super957 24 Posted April 3, 2023 Posted April 3, 2023 On my QNap i have a Emby server and use for host/address DynDns service as eg: Host: http://xxxxxxxxx.homepc.it Now i want configure my Nas with Surfshark VPN but before it, i would know if enabling a vpn on my Qnap/Nas the host remain the same or i must change something. Meeko 35 Posted April 3, 2023 Posted April 3, 2023 Sharkvpn does not support port forwarding. Almost no vpn provider does. ovpn only does this with an ipv4 static ip from them. best regards 1

YES this is my intention...but is expensive and in which way i must config on my nas ? But this service permit to use server emby trough service DDNS ? Thank Hispa P.S. Darkseidd 59 Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 i dont think using vpn can hide your actual public ip, given that you use dydns, simple query to dydns can reveal your public ip.. and for fact that you use dydns indicates you do not have static public ip, which will make things much more complicated. anyway, try look for Cloudflare WAF and dynamicDNS solution. it might provide you with some clarity
