panamakevin 4 Posted April 1, 2023 Posted April 1, 2023 Thanks for the incredible software and support. i wanted to see if i could get some help. I tried searching the forums and couldn't find this issue... I store my tv shows and movies on a few different hard drives in my server. I moved some of my shows from one hard drive to another using the mass editor in Sonnar. For the most part it worked fine, but some shows are now showing two locations and it defaults to the old location that the file no longer exists in. This is how it looks on in the media info area: But when i try to play from the default location (the one that doesn't exist) it says it gives me the following error: If i split the versions out and try deleting the one in the wrong location, i get this error: I've removed the files, rescanned the library and added them back and i still get the old location showing. Has anyone run into this before and found a way to get rid of the old locations from Emby?
ebr 16187 Posted April 1, 2023 Posted April 1, 2023 Hi. Run a library scan after hitting that "Split Versions Apart" button.

I just tried running the "Scan Library Files" function in Emby and they, unfortunately, are still appearing after splitting them. The top one being the real copy and the bottom is from the drive that i moved the file from...
Solution Happy2Play 9783 Posted April 1, 2023 Solution Posted April 1, 2023 And if you went to the library options "Automatically merge series that are spread across multiple folders" and disabled it and did a library scan do two shows appear? If so you should be able to delete the rogue one. 1

Happy2Play 9783 Posted April 1, 2023 Posted April 1, 2023 Normally this should not happen as a Full Scan should remove all non-existing item/paths. But suggest the paths are still configured somewhere. But glad it worked out.
Darkseidd 59 Posted April 2, 2023 Posted April 2, 2023 are you on 4.7.11? i did this alot and rebuilding path (via library scan) is painfully long, not few minutes task. not sure how things at 4.8
