How does Continue Watching work?

I'm loving my emby setup but have noticed something odd.

I'm using trakt to sync my watch states.  I installed emby during a time when 2 different shows were off air. Added content to my database and synced the watched states via trakt (content in the library showed as watched). One show was Yellowjackets which I watched last season. The other is Party Down which I haven't watched for many years but is now releasing new episodes.

I expected the continue watching feed to resurface these series when new unwatched episodes were added to my library effectively making the series partially watched. Instead I only noticed that there were new episodes available because they showed up in the "Latest TV Shows" feed.

Continue watching did pick up and surface other shows right after I added my media library, some of which I forgot I was part way through.  Maybe this is because the season was partially watched when imported vs being extended?

Have I found a possible bug or are my expectations a little off?

How large is your CW list?  Could they be at the end of the list as LastPlayed date will order the episodes.

Do you delete episodes?

I've manually started playing the 1st episode of each to get them added to the CW list.

It now has 20 entries.

I just removed something and another show has popped into its place, perhaps those series did get added to the queue and I just couldn't see them.  Is there any way to see everything its got in queue?

How many CW items do you have?

If you enable the Home Screen "Next Up" row you can click the Next up header title or See all to see TV Next Up (eample mine shows 37 on my test system).  Note enabling the legacy row separates CW and Next Up.  So CW only shows items with a Resume point.

With a combined CW it is difficult to see all as it combine all item with Resume point (movie/tv), if no resume points it will show next up episode for TV Shows that have at least one episode watched.

But believe every client is slightly different on displayed item counts.  But thought it was a virtual scroll row.
