Is there anyway to use transparent icons? Instead of rectangle boxes?

I want something like Boxee box has.

I’m currently setup like the following.

In the past transparent images didn’t work from what I remember. I can try again but figure I could save myself time posing the question before trying.

Well it works. On Android TV it works like I wanted.

However, under the web interface and Emby Theatre it puts a background in?

Ah yes, there's currently no option to remove that background. Well, you could remove it with custom css, but that would only help the web app.
