AngelSing 49 Posted November 17, 2024 Posted November 17, 2024 Hello, @VicMoore I downloaded the Bulky Editor plugin, but I realized that I can’t find the option to add people in bulk in the editing options. Additionally, I have another issue: when I click the "Change cover" button, absolutely nothing happens—no additional window opens. Although this issue is secondary, what I really want to know is if it’s possible to add people in bulk using Bulky Editor. 1
pmac 143 Posted November 25, 2024 Posted November 25, 2024 (edited) I used the web app version of this program a while ago and was hoping to install the plugin, but it seems the download link is gone now. Is there a reason for that? EDIT: Nevermind, I see it's in the plugin catalog now. Edited November 25, 2024 by pmac

I believe I recall you saying that the functionality was removed at some point but was being added back. Is there any ETA on that?
Eldontyrellcorp 7 Posted November 28, 2024 Posted November 28, 2024 Hi @VicMoore, was wondering if you have come up with a way yet of bulk deleting the Parental Rating?
Thunder7ga 1 Posted December 8, 2024 Posted December 8, 2024 Before I mess anything up, thought I should just ask....I want to remove a specific tag that is listed in 90% of my Live TV channels (i.e. HD) it is kind of useless with it being on nearly everything. What is the proper way to only remove that one tag, and not any others which vary greatly depending on the channel.
artv_saloon 0 Posted December 9, 2024 Posted December 9, 2024 I changed the tag to play a specific (with bulk edit) intro for each genre. with tag management I see the correct tag indicated but when I play the film the intro played is different. where am I wrong?
podonnell 47 Posted December 10, 2024 Posted December 10, 2024 Has anyone found a way to 'touch' all items, thus generating an .nfo file for episodes, seasons, etc..? That's my primary goal here and I'm struggling to see an easy way to do so.

Opened powershell and cd to media library and ran this. Touch all existing nfo files so Emby thinks something has changed and reprocess the item. # Touch files in specified path powershell gci -recu -inc "*.nfo" | % { $_.LastWriteTime = Get-Date } or change to touch your files (mkv or mp4) but will guess a coding guru can comment more. 1

This was wonderful, thank you. I was able to adapt this to 'touch' any video file in my library, and it took a minute for Emby and RTM to realize, but my entire library spit out .NFO files after it went through. Here is the script I ended up using, which accounted for every type of video file in my library. I recommend anyone wanting to try this, to navigate to a specific subfolder and run it there first. Worked perfectly for me though. Quote $videoExtensions = @(".avi", ".m2ts", ".mkv", ".mov", ".mp4", ".mpeg", ".mpg", ".ts", ".webm", ".wmv") Get-ChildItem -Recurse | Where-Object { $videoExtensions -contains $_.Extension } | ForEach-Object { $_ | Set-ItemProperty -Name LastWriteTime -Value (Get-Date) } Edited December 13, 2024 by podonnell
podonnell 47 Posted December 13, 2024 Posted December 13, 2024 The only thing missing for me now I believe is the ability to spit out the artwork I had manually chosen prior to selecting "keep artwork in folders".
hemsimmons 0 Posted December 17, 2024 Posted December 17, 2024 I am having the same / similar issue as "the-dumb1". When I turn Folders On -- all of my content goes away -- totally blank screen. With Folders Off, I see everything --- but 1,155 movies in one list it is difficult to navigate. Could this be because it is only using the Library folders and not the actual folders on the server? The library has only 1 primary folder but 10-12 underneath on the server.

Glad to know it's not PEBKAC or an ID-10-T error. I created a very simple small scale new library with a much more simplified folder structure and the problem persisted. If there are logs generated somewhere, we can help put a spotlight on where the issue is. A re-write like Vic wants to do may make the error OBE ... or just kick the can down the road. Here's to hoping for a quick resolution.
gillmacca01 211 Posted January 21, 2025 Posted January 21, 2025 Apologies if this has already been asked. I have some TV channels that have multiple TAGS, but I only want to replace one of them. What's the best way to do that? Example: a channel has 2 tags: IPTV-Tuner 1,US| ABC NETWORK I want to keep IPTV-Tuner 1, but replace US| ABC NETWORK with .Entertainment
Badwolf 6 Posted January 27, 2025 Posted January 27, 2025 Yeah I cant get it to work right with folders anymore either. I'm not sure what changed?
kbeck 64 Posted March 7, 2025 Posted March 7, 2025 Any chance to get a Lock Sort Name in some update?
kbeck 64 Posted March 11, 2025 Posted March 11, 2025 I have a Feature Request. There is an Option to Lock Title, but I could really really use the Option to Lock Sort Title (and Original Title would be nice). I lock all 3 and after using Bulky Editor, the last 2 remain unlocked and I have to relock manually. Kinda defeats the purpose of Bulk Editing. BTW, is there a reason why they are unlocked if you are not changing the data there? Added a Tag to a selection and every one has the Original Title and Sort Title unlocked even though I didn't change them. Or am I missing something? Thanks.
pwhodges 2012 Posted April 29, 2025 Posted April 29, 2025 This plugin is in the catalogue, in the Metadata section. Paul

Having the same exact problem. Thing is one Library with same folder structure sees the folder fine and one Library doesn't.
kbeck 64 Posted August 4, 2025 Posted August 4, 2025 If anyone has the problem with Folders on and only seeing a hash symbol instead of files (#), I found a workaround. My Library has 1 main folder, with about a dozen sub-folders and then the movie folders under them. I created an empty folder in the root of the Library folder, added it to the Library and everything shows. I:\Animated Shorts (Library points to here) I:\Animated Shorts\Looney Tunes I:\Animated Shorts\Looney Tunes\Folder1 I:\Animated Shorts\Looney Tunes\Folder2... I:\Animated Shorts\Disney I:\Animated Shorts\Disney\Folder1 I:\Animated Shorts\Disney\Folder2 I:\xTest (Empty folder. Added to Library) 1
danmed 1 Posted September 12, 2025 Posted September 12, 2025 Hi there, is there any way to schedule this to add a tag to every movie if it's not already there?

Not sure about schedule but you can go to a library, select all, add a tag and if it's already there it won't add a 2nd time.
gillmacca01 211 Posted September 20, 2025 Posted September 20, 2025 (edited) My supplier supplies me with 2 identical m3u's (for 2 users). To have a user only being able to see one m3u, I have added the tag to live tv setup of IPTV1 for one and IPTV2. So now all my channels have 2 tags (one from the m3u and the one that I assigned). When I try to to do a library search on live tv channels using tags, I enter 'AM | CA | DOCUMENTARY,IPTV1' as I only want to updated these ones, but it doesn't work. It will show IPTV1, but shows all the other tags from the m3u Hope this makes sense. Is there a solution/workaround for this? Edited September 20, 2025 by gillmacca01

I select a couple of movies, type a collection name, and click create. The operation finishes, but the collection has not been created. Same for me. It's my first day using this plugin. Has a solution to this been found? It's the main thing that attracted me to this plugin.
wjcarpenter 9 Posted October 2, 2025 Posted October 2, 2025 Never mind. I eventually discovered how to make a custom collection in the main Emby interface. It took me a while to discover it. For an individual item like a movie or TV show, right click and add to collection. That offers the option to create a new collection.
