The other thing I don't understand is why I get individual movies that I have to click through when I select bulk edit. Is bulk edit not working? The below image is the same thing I get when I select Edit Each.

Yea, the logic is a little 'odd'.  I've asked the same question before myself ;)

On Bulk Edit,  despite you thinking you are only editing Item #1 - if you scroll down to the end of that item - and use lets say the Tags section - you can then add/delete etc tags according to the drop down and it applies to ALL Items if you hit the 'Save' blue button at the top.  Ignore the Prev/Next - that's just used to View the items.

It's a little muddled imo - but it works .. 🤪

Ah, ok. Thanks @rbjtech!

@VicMoore, I definitely think a different (maybe list) view is needed for bulk edit.

@rbjtechand @MBSkiI will fix the space issue with global search.  I will get it done today.

I have continued to work on Channels.  If you click one of the media icons, you will bring up a menu that describes the selection and gives you an opportunity to remove it from the list.

image.png.d5aa3cbafed90f13f7d892ec0086956c.png

You can also remove all of the selections for that media.

On the channels menu there is a Playlist button.  Click it and the playlist menu opens up. In this menu you select the rules that govern playlist creation.

image.png.cbf429a7ad7c7e4bad992b45caf71eef.png

Click the "make playlist" button to create the playlist defined by the rules. The playlist is displayed below the menu.

image.png.64712f6613112cdc1c6826e02feeee25.png

Click the "Cast to TV" button to play the playlist on you TV or monitor. Just select where you want to play the playlist and click the play button.

I still have work to be completed on the rules for playlist creation.

@rbjtechand @MBSki I will remove the "prev" and "next" buttons on bulk edit.

How would you like bulk edit to look?

I would think a list or grid would work.

So in Emby - this is a table view as a result of filtering Movies by Tag = UHD

There are 181 Items - so all I really want to do is to visually give it a 'once over' that the filter I am using is correct.   i can quickly scroll up and down to see the rest.

Once 'previewed' THEN I think maybe shown the Bulk Edit options as you do now (for Tags, Genres - Add/remove etc) and then just have an 'Apply/Save' button)

I *think* that's probably less confusing than having a detail screen for every item..

Thanks Vic - the search now works with spaces in the tag - good job 👍

I think it might be prudent to just mention in the search it is an EXACT match search only ?

Hi Vic, I was just about to comment on the "Space problem". I couldn't get my 'Star Wars' tags to work but 'DCAU' works perfectly.

I'm currently on ver 1.0.2.114.. I'm guessing the above dll is above that and will give it a go.

EDIT: yep ver. 1.0.2.119 works with spaces. 👍

Yeah this would be nice, "Star*" would include "Star Wars" & "Star Trek" in my tags.. it would make a nice channel.. ;)

You and the others that asked for this feature improved the global search. I appreciate everyone's comments.

@mixXximYour changes are on my list but they are cosmetic in nature and at the moment difficult for me to do. I know the effort appears simple, but it is not.  When I get back to that part of the code I will work on it.  I am working now on things I said I would do a long time back and on other threads.  This is not a job.  I do what I can when I can do it.

Hi Vic !

I have a problem with your plugin. When I try to use the "Bulk Edit" to add a genre to multiple movies, I get an infinite load. No matter the number of films, 2, 4, 50...

When I try to edit just one, it doesn't save either.

I can't find a solution, can you help me?

THANKS !

@WarzonefuryI bulk added genres to multiple files and it worked OK.  Can you tell me step by step how you added genres to your files?  Also, look at the browser console for error messages.
