Luke, could you please allow the word chapter to be translated on the onesky website?

Haven't we already discussed how this works?

Right.  And I changed the chapter names in the metadata of the file via MKVToolNix. And there is no change in emby.  Check and see that I am not wrong.  More than that, I thought that maybe the problem was in the Hebrew language, so what I did in another movie I changed all the names of the chapter to numbers.  Only the number should have appeared in Emby, right?  So no - apper chapter 01 and so on.

It's more likely that your issue has to do with needing to rescan the files after changing them.

I did a refresh and there is no change in the chapter names.  More than that, I added a brand new movie to the library, I changed the names of the chapters before that and the names of the chapter remain in English and number 01 and so on.  In my opinion, this part of the onesky translation does not exist.  Maybe Luke can explain it.

No, it doesn't because the information is coming from the metadata if it exists.  We don't attempt to translate text that comes from somewhere else (that would be next to impossible).

Here is an example of chapter names coming from the file:

Did you refresh metadata on the item you changed?

I also put a new movie with updated info that the name of the chapter is in the Hebrew language.  And still not different.

..and you are using the chapter editor in mkvtoolnix and then writing it back to the MKV ?

I can confirm that emby picks these changes up after the item is Refreshed - I have done it many many times - but you may need to clear the browser CACHE to see the changes if you are using a web browser.

Cache of the edge browser?

I would be interested to see a screenshot from mkvtoolnix or mediainfo showing the actual chapter content of one of the movie files.

So I think that is the reason.  The page will auto update if you change normal 'emby' metadata, but as the chapters are got from the mkv originally (and you can't change them in emby), they are not automatically refreshed.  So by clearing the browser cache (after editing them in mkvtoolnix and the emby item is refreshed) they are re-read from the emby db and are displayed correctly with the updated values.

All I had to do was refresh the page after I had refreshed metadata.

ok - possibly browser differences then - As I definitely need to clear the cache to see Chapter updates made behind the scenes.  Anyway, lets see if that resolves it, but I don't think emby is the issue here.

Okay, so nothing helped.
