Please try again later or contact your system administrator for details." m3u plays fine with VLC and via the web app. I have changed between http and https and neither works. embyserver.txt vlc screenshot.docx

Luke 42080 Posted March 28, 2023 Posted March 28, 2023 Hi, yea if you look at the server log, there's some kind of problem with the ssl certificate of the server hosting the video stream: 2023-03-27 21:29:40.206 Error HttpClient: Error getting response from https://host6:443/x_path2_x/x_path3_x/x_path4_x *** Error Report *** Version: 4.7.11.0 Command line: C:\Users\user\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\system\EmbyServer.dll -noautorunwebapp Operating system: Microsoft Windows 10.0.19045 Framework: .NET 6.0.10 OS/Process: x64/x64 Runtime: C:/Users/user/AppData/Roaming/Emby-Server/system/System.Private.CoreLib.dll Processor count: 8 Data path: C:\Users\user\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\programdata Application path: C:\Users\user\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\system System.Net.Http.HttpRequestException: System.Net.Http.HttpRequestException: The SSL connection could not be established, see inner exception. ---> System.Security.Authentication.AuthenticationException: The remote certificate is invalid according to the validation procedure: RemoteCertificateNameMismatch at System.Net.Security.SslStream.SendAuthResetSignal(ProtocolToken message, ExceptionDispatchInfo exception) at System.Net.Security.SslStream.CompleteHandshake(SslAuthenticationOptions sslAuthenticationOptions) at System.Net.Security.SslStream.ForceAuthenticationAsync[TIOAdapter](TIOAdapter adapter, Boolean receiveFirst, Byte[] reAuthenticationData, Boolean isApm) at System.Net.Http.ConnectHelper.EstablishSslConnectionAsync(SslClientAuthenticationOptions sslOptions, HttpRequestMessage request, Boolean async, Stream stream, CancellationToken cancellationToken) --- End of inner exception stack trace --- at System.Net.Http.ConnectHelper.EstablishSslConnectionAsync(SslClientAuthenticationOptions sslOptions, HttpRequestMessage request, Boolean async, Stream stream, CancellationToken cancellationToken) at System.Net.Http.HttpConnectionPool.ConnectAsync(HttpRequestMessage request, Boolean async, CancellationToken cancellationToken) at System.Net.Http.HttpConnectionPool.CreateHttp11ConnectionAsync(HttpRequestMessage request, Boolean async, CancellationToken cancellationToken) at System.Net.Http.HttpConnectionPool.AddHttp11ConnectionAsync(HttpRequestMessage request) at System.Threading.Tasks.TaskCompletionSourceWithCancellation`1.WaitWithCancellationAsync(CancellationToken cancellationToken) at System.Net.Http.HttpConnectionPool.GetHttp11ConnectionAsync(HttpRequestMessage request, Boolean async, CancellationToken cancellationToken) at System.Net.Http.HttpConnectionPool.SendWithVersionDetectionAndRetryAsync(HttpRequestMessage request, Boolean async, Boolean doRequestAuth, CancellationToken cancellationToken) at System.Net.Http.DiagnosticsHandler.SendAsyncCore(HttpRequestMessage request, Boolean async, CancellationToken cancellationToken) at System.Net.Http.RedirectHandler.SendAsync(HttpRequestMessage request, Boolean async, CancellationToken cancellationToken) at System.Net.Http.HttpClient.<SendAsync>g__Core|83_0(HttpRequestMessage request, HttpCompletionOption completionOption, CancellationTokenSource cts, Boolean disposeCts, CancellationTokenSource pendingRequestsCts, CancellationToken originalCancellationToken) at Emby.Server.Implementations.HttpClientManager.CoreHttpClientManager.SendAsyncInternal(HttpRequestOptions options, String httpMethod) Source: System.Net.Http TargetSite: Void MoveNext() InnerException: System.Security.Authentication.AuthenticationException: The remote certificate is invalid according to the validation procedure: RemoteCertificateNameMismatch Try to find the stream url in the m3u and put it into the browser address bar. What happens there?
bellaire90 0 Posted March 28, 2023 Author Posted March 28, 2023 I never opens when I put the m3u url in a browser. it downloads and unknown file type and sits there spinning. No specific error though.
bellaire90 0 Posted March 28, 2023 Author Posted March 28, 2023 (edited) I pulled this from the m3u file. https://creedtv.ddns.net:443/bellaire90yy/59oBe3Y8px/3258.ts It opens right up with VLC. My m3u file is over 3000 lines long. Edited March 28, 2023 by bellaire90
bellaire90 0 Posted March 28, 2023 Author Posted March 28, 2023 what syntax should i be looking for in the m3u file that may be causing it to fail?

bellaire90 0 Posted March 28, 2023 Author Posted March 28, 2023 when I put the url in the browser, it downloads, and then prompts "open with" (both firefox and ie) and does nothing after that.

So you don't see something similar to this, but each browser will be slightly different?
bellaire90 0 Posted March 29, 2023 Author Posted March 29, 2023 I get passed that with Firefox and Chrome it starts downloading. With Microsoft Edge I get something different.
Happy2Play 9782 Posted March 29, 2023 Posted March 29, 2023 Not sure if the server should every bypass this though. The remote certificate is invalid according to the validation procedure: RemoteCertificateNameMismatch
bellaire90 0 Posted March 29, 2023 Author Posted March 29, 2023 (edited) New log file. I changed https:443 -> http:80 in my m3u file. I still cannot connect yet. embyserver(1).txt Edited March 29, 2023 by bellaire90

Hi. So you are ignoring the error that Emby is protecting you from. Allowing Emby to ignore that would be very dangerous.
