LyraTheLycan 5 Posted March 27, 2023 Posted March 27, 2023 Phone: OnePlus A6013 Build: ONEPLUS A6013_41211125 OS: OxygenOS 11.1.2.2 Android: 11 Emby Android: 3.2.92 Problem: While casting music from server library, via the app, to a (chromecast) Google Nest Audio, I tapped the playing media on the bottom, and the phone lost all UI and flashed between black and my phone's unlocked background. Eventually the phone rebooted with the message "This device has entered an unstable state. Please reboot using the exit button below". After reboot I attempted to open the app and the same thing happened. Later I got the pop-up "System UI keeps stopping" Reproducing the issue: Sometimes caused by performing the exact same steps above to select playing media from album media screen, or selecting Emby after a reboot. Note: Only happens with any audio that has generic art in any album that has generic art (see attached). Persistence: Repeats even after closing app from tray, force stopping app, deleting storage and logging back in, uninstalling, reinstalling the app and restarting phone before logging back in. Cannot reproduce on OnePlus A6003, so may be isolated to A6013. Escaping the issue: Possible only by a hard reboot. Solving the issue: Avoiding files with generic art/removing files from server for now

Luke 42083 Posted March 28, 2023 Posted March 28, 2023 Hi, can you provide a sample track for testing? Thanks.
LyraTheLycan 5 Posted March 28, 2023 Author Posted March 28, 2023 @Luke Absolutely - I'll include one despite all the tracks causing it (02) [Eric Prydz] Call On Me.mp3

At what point does it crash the phone? I'm not having any trouble playing it on my android devices.
LyraTheLycan 5 Posted April 18, 2023 Author Posted April 18, 2023 Hey, once I'm streaming the music via Chromecast to a Google Nest Audio, as soon as I tapped on the song name on the 'playing' bar, my phone went crazy. I think this is an extremely niche issue though so don't sweat it! Thanks!

LyraTheLycan 5 Posted April 18, 2023 Author Posted April 18, 2023 Yes, just tried it with another file with VA properties. The first video shows it happening as I cast at the same time as viewing the links from the bar: 2023-04-18_13-30-20 (2).mp4 The second shows it happening after reboot because I haven't cleared the app cache and data: 2023-04-18_13-27-12.mp4
Luke 42083 Posted April 18, 2023 Posted April 18, 2023 So it's only an issue when playing with chromecast?
LyraTheLycan 5 Posted April 18, 2023 Author Posted April 18, 2023 Yes - every other form of playing is fine, and it only happens when playing with Chromecast to a Nest Audio speaker - playing with Chromecast to another (DLNA) speaker or to Google TV does not trigger the break. 1
LyraTheLycan 5 Posted April 18, 2023 Author Posted April 18, 2023 Update note: Deleting storage resolves the break, deleting cache and force-stopping the app does not
