Emby on Fire TV Firestick - Do I only get two weeks free?

I was using Raspberry Pi's with KODI & Emby to play media from my Emby server (Synology) on my TVs for a couple of years - but found out it might be simpler to load the app onto my Firestick. After loading the app and testing it out I notice It shows I only have until April 8th until my 'Trial' runs out and then I have to pay for premier. I never had a trial version when I ran it on my Rpi's. What gives?

Different client apps have different requirements, some have certain free features and some require Premiere subscription or app unlock (one-off payment) for full playback.

Thanks for that info, I was also not aware of the app unlock. Seems like if I am going to use it on various devices I would be best off in just going Premiere.
