MustardPieCake 2 Posted March 21, 2023 Posted March 21, 2023 So there's two Fruits Basket series, the original "Fruits Basket" and the new one "Fruits Basket (2019)". Original: https://thetvdb.com/series/fruits-basket New: https://thetvdb.com/series/fruits-basket-2019 I have a folder called "Fruits Basket" and I have a folder called "Fruits Basket (2019)" The problem is that Emby is merging both folders. It uses the new Fruits Basket (2019) name, the original Fruits Basket main image, and the new Fruits Basket (2019) season artwork. For the new Fruits Basket (2019) there are 3 seasons. For the original Fruits Basket there is 1 season. For season 1 Emby shows the original Fruits Basket, and for seasons 2 and 3 Emby shows Fruits Basket (2019)'s seasons. How do I separate these two shows?

Solution GrimReaper 4745 Posted March 21, 2023 Solution Posted March 21, 2023 (edited) Either: 1. Name series folders Frutis Basket (2001) [tvdbid=78900] Fruits Basket (2019) [tvdbid=357488] Rescan. OR 2. Disable Automatically merge series spread accross multiple folders in your Library settings, rescan, re-Identify one that was misidentified. Edited March 21, 2023 by GrimReaper 2

I was looking to see if tvdbid was something you could do in the name but I didn't see it listed in the TV Naming article https://support.emby.media/support/solutions/articles/44001159110-tv-naming 1 1

pwhodges 2012 Posted March 21, 2023 Posted March 21, 2023 (edited) Yes, for some reason this one doesn't resolve without extra prodding: Note also that Emby will only merge folders it thinks are part of the same series if the setting in the library properties (per library) to enable it is ticked: Paul Edited March 21, 2023 by pwhodges

Happy2Play 9783 Posted March 22, 2023 Posted March 22, 2023 Ultimately both providers list Fruit Basket 2019 as first result on their api when searching just Fruits Basket. So one needs to ensure both shows have year on show folder. 2023-03-21 18:40:08.534 Debug App: Running TvdbSeriesProvider for C:\Users\Media\Desktop\Videos\TV Shows - DB\Fruit Basket (2001) 2023-03-21 18:40:08.537 Info HttpClient: GET https://api4.thetvdb.com/v4/search?type=series&q=Fruit Basket (2001)&year=2001 2023-03-21 18:40:08.834 Info HttpClient: GET https://api4.thetvdb.com/v4/series/78900/extended?meta=translations
