nappysolo 6 Posted March 18, 2023 Posted March 18, 2023 I have Emby Android TV running on a Sony Bravia, server is Windows 10. Has been working fine since I installed it on the TV about 9 months ago. Worked 3 days ago. Last night, I found that the app wouldn't connect to the server. I tried clearing cache and data, uninstalling, reinstalling, no luck. It actually finds the server and offers it to me to connect, but when I select it, it says Server Unavailable. I tried manually connecting with the IP address, that didn't work either. I have 2 Rokus that connect fine, and the Android app on my Pixel phone has no trouble connecting. Looks like there are some network-related errors in the attached log that I don't understand. I am using that as a backup for the moment, but I would rather have a seamless interface to streaming services and OTA channels with the TV so I don't have to switch inputs.

nappysolo 6 Posted March 19, 2023 Author Posted March 19, 2023 Thanks for getting back to me. Today, the app is suddenly working again. Instead of an icon for the server, I can select a user and everything is good. I'll report back if it happens again. Today, I do see the button to send logs. To be honest, I don't believe that appeared when the error was occurring yesterday.
Kordra 2 Posted March 20, 2023 Posted March 20, 2023 (edited) I have basically the same issue on my FireStick. Works on all other devices. I posted another thread for the issue. Only difference is there my Emby app never open the 2nd time and doesn't work again unless you force stop the app and clear cache files. Appear to be the same or similar to the Google version of the app. https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Emby.Releases/raw/master/android/emby-android-google-armeabi-v7a-release.apk Bit frustrating to say the least. Hopefully I it will be updated on the app store Fire devices soon. Maybe this will work for you too if you have issues again.dependin on my what apk is needed for Emby needed for you to connect to your server with. 1
