Hi, are you all set now, or are you still having an issue?

Sounds like you are using Emby web client on a TV. TV mode requires Premiere. You would have to change App Settings-Displays-Display Mode to Desktop.

Not sure I understand the second issue but sounds like possibly database cache size causing slow startup/load.

Can you post a server log from startup.

What is your library.db size?

Posted

Where or how can I get or retrieve a server log of the startup process?

I'm sorry, but unfortunately the name 'library.db' doesn't mean anything to me. When it comes to the size of my music data - it's 266 GB, which is over 11000 files.

Also - after the initial installation, it was possible for me to use the 'Play with another device' function to select my TV and listen to the music there.
Unfortunately, with the TV remote control it was only possible to stop or restart the song previously selected on the PC. Attempts to access other songs in the library from the TV terminated 'Media' on the TV.

What server platform?

Path will vary depending on platform the library.db is the Emby database.  And depending the size of the database changing the database cache size can improve performance.

This seems rather complicated to me; I don't get your picture with the home server including the paths that way.

But here:
I launched Emby on Google Chrome and here I can play music immediately without being prompted to install Premiere. Also the playback possibility via other places is given.

Is this all possibly a Firefox issue?

Hey .

I'm sorry, I saw that you already had the solution too.👍

Since Thursday I'm waiting for someone to know an answer:

That I can only do start/stop with the TV remote, as already mentioned, I have accepted. But - when I create a playlist on the PC and then play it on the TV, it stops after one track every time. Checking all titles in the list didn't help either.

One more thing:
On Firefox, unlike Chrome, when I select the bottom right function, the image does not change to large/single; idea?

Hi there, let's look at an example. Please attach the information requested in how to report a media playback issue. Thanks!

As already described, switching to the 'Playlist/Queue' window does not respond in Firefox browser. The Chrome browser, on the other hand, does not cause any problems here.2023-03-19_2.thumb.jpg.ec932bd31720b0d0e067a705e53c4257.jpg

I have compared all the settings in Firefox with those in Chrome. I noticed that Chrome has a plugin 'Chapter API' installed, whose icon looks like the playlist button at the bottom right of Emby. On Firefox this plugin is missing.

After the installation I hoped that the playlist is now also shown in Firefox, but unfortunately this did not happen.

Sorry I do not follow as Emby plugins have nothing to do with Browsers or Clients.

FF 111 server 4.7.11.0  Clicked the playlist button

Are there browser console errors when click the playlist button?

No - the only reaction to tapping the button is a circular brightening of the area:

Afterwards the brightening has disappeared again and it is as if this action had not taken place at all.

Minus browser console errors or browser addons/extensions I have no idea as it works on multiple Windows systems I have tested on.

Also testing Firefox 111 and it seems to be working OK For me as well.

I have now turned off all trackers and AdBlockers on Firefox and restarted the browser, but the playlist button responds as before.

Today the Emby server was updated twice. Twice because after the first try the covers were not shown.
Unfortunately it doesn't look good, because in the Firefox browser the switching to the playlist still doesn't work.

In addition, when playing a piece of music, the time indication 'playing time/total time' is missing. A time indication (here 4:47) is only visible when moving the cursor to the progress bar (total time 13:53).
