mguebert 10 Posted March 14, 2023 Posted March 14, 2023 I think for Recorded TV a really nice feature would be to delete to a recycle bin which could have a user specified deletion time. For instance a recording is deleted and it is kept in a recycle bin for a specified period of time, during which the recording could be restored to the recorded tv library. It would protect against inadvertent deletion especially in a multi user household.
Luke 42078 Posted March 14, 2023 Posted March 14, 2023 Hi, are you on windows? The delete function already uses the system recycle bin.
mguebert 10 Posted March 14, 2023 Author Posted March 14, 2023 Luke, Yes and I did find that to be the case. But what I was suggesting was that instead of the system recycle bin, that it be a situation where the recycle function is within emby. That way it could be accessed as a folder within the library and recordings that were accidentally deleted could be restored from within the client. I have been using channels dvr for some time now until the emby live tv was improved. And it has to the point that I am switching over. This feature and a couple more that channels had are nice. I will be adding those others to the feature requests. Thanks
