Managing AudioBook artwork

I currently don't have any Music on my server. I was able to get some of the cover art to show up. However, it is not updating for the Chapter artwork. I'm not sure if I am applying it correctly or not at that point. The structure that I am following is the same as above:

...Audio Books
     JK Rowling
Harry Potter read by Stephen Fry
               Chapter 1
               folder.jpg
          folder.jpg

Again I'm just looking for it to try and pull the metadata for the authors correctly and then the books while keeping the same custom cover art for the chapters as it does the book title.

Any and all help is greatly appreciated!

How did you configure the music folder structure option?

There is an option on the library called music folder structure. What is it set to?

Apologies, I didn't see that. It is set to "Perfectly organized into author\book folders, with tracks in the book folders.

It looks like your audiobook files have embedded images.

Looks at you files with mp3tag to check that.

Ugh yes that was the issue. It looks to be good to go now. Thanks!

Side question, is there a better way to try and pull any metadata for the Authors? Or am I needing to be adding this in manually?

@Moondoggie28do you have this enabled in you library. That might be the reason you see your embedded images

.

If you don't want emby to show those you can also remove them with mp3tag 😉 or edit them.

I found out where my mistakes were coming from. It was all file structure on my end.

Thanks for the help all!

Neminem, I'm still learning mp3tag, thanks for the advice on that.

What was the solution?

It seemed like I needed to have a better file structure, along with some of the baked in metadata on the source files.

The new file structure needed to be (based on this example),

-Audio books
  -- J.K. Rowling
-- Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone
      -- Chapter 1

Instead of
--J.K. Rowling
-- Harry Potter read by Stephen Fry
-- Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone
      -- Chapter 1

It seems like the server was having some difficulty understanding the file structure

Removing the metadata and then maintaining the new structure seems to have resolved the problem.
