RamboRen 0 Posted March 10, 2023 Posted March 10, 2023 Help!!! Does anyone have the same problem? I am looking for a proper solution for this. Emby app works very well on my living room's Apple TV as well as my two iPhones. Seems it runs smoothly on IOS system. But when it comes to Android system, story becomes totally different. I got one Fire TV Stick 4K in my bedroom and one Fire TV Stick 4K Max in my son's my bedroom. Emby app (downloaded from official Amazon Fire TV App Store) does not work on any of them. I even spent 4.99USD to unlock the app, but nothing changed - when I selected a movie and click the "play" button, the screen turns to black (sometimes I see the circle runs and sometimes not) and after one or two seconds, the screen turns back to "movie intro" page. I then keep click the "play" button, the problem is always there. If Emby app got problem on IOS system, I could easily use infuse as a replacement. Now the problem is on Fire TV android system while Infuse does not support it, seems I have to choose Kodi. But you know how complicated it would take to install Kodi first and then to install Emby into Kodi. Can Emby team give me some advice or maybe fix your app if the bug is true. Thank you so much! A Emby user from Asia

Some friends told me the problem might due to the device limit. So I spent 4.99USD as an in-app purchase that unlocked the app. The problem remains.

Have you tried restarting your Firesticks? You can reproduce the issue and then follow the instructions to send a log from the app? Quote Emby for Android TV/Fire TV and Emby for Roku Logs These apps have the option to send an app log to us electronically. You enter the settings page and turn on the "Debug Options". Now there will be a new tile on your home page settings row (or menu option on the user menu at the top) labelled "Send Log". Reproduce your problem and then use this button to send the log. Then add the following information to your report in the forum: Exactly what you were doing and what happened. Include the name of whatever you played if it is a playback problem The time you sent the log (in Eastern Time please - UTC -5) The name of the Emby user on the local server that was logged in at the time And you can also sideload standard Android app and see how does that compare? https://emby.media/emby-for-android.html
