The collections folder with different media?

I have set up a user locally at home who only has access to my music on a tablet to play music at home but the collections folder appears empty. It would be great if you could also control this folder so that it can show different media so that I can see my music collections in this folder when I only have access to the music folder

The top level collections folder will show all collections that the user is able to see.

Can you please go over a specific example? Thanks.

I tested this and saw empty custom Music Collection then realized I had Parental controls (blocking unknow ratings on Music) on this user causing them to be empty.

Do you have any Parental controls on the User?

Ok let's start with this folder "collections" It cannot be removed for a user but is always included. In settings under users, there is a folder "access" There you cannot uncheck the folder "collections" because it is not included there. That "collections" folder is only in the settings for "Library" Since I don't have any collections regarding my music, that folder is useless.

Hope that was clearer.

Correct the only option is to hide the Collections Library per user Home Screen settings.

But yes I agree if you have removed access from everything the library should be auto hidden.

But you can't do that because it doesn't include collections in the library, so there's nothing to hide from the user when collections aren't included

The virtual Collections Library is created globally and apply to all content types by items in your library or you making custom collections but the issue comes when you restrict access causing the library to now become Empty @Lukeshould look at hiding it automatically for the user in this situation.

You can hide if for the user per their home screen options.  App Settings-Users-select user

Aaaaaa OK thanks. Did not know that it was possible to change it under the settings. Haven't even seen that there have been settings under there. I probably saw this as a header for users and not that there were additional settings

THANKS!!!!
