JustSittingHere 4 Posted March 7, 2023 Posted March 7, 2023 I replaced some video files today with BD versions. The Media Info section is still showing the old video properties. I tried scanning the library and refreshing the metadata for that show. It's not updating the video properties. The date should be 3/6 with one audio and subtitle track. Am I overlooking something simple and right in front of me? Thanks. Jim
Happy2Play 9780 Posted March 7, 2023 Posted March 7, 2023 Are you sure that is the correct path for the item you replaced? Also what is your "Date added behavior for new content:" setting? App Settings-Library-Advanced tab Do you write nfo files with media as original added date in file will be used. Can you provide the server log when you replaced/refreshed this item. Thanks How to Report a Problem
JustSittingHere 4 Posted March 7, 2023 Author Posted March 7, 2023 Hello, Yes, the path is correct. The existing DVD-quality files were overwritten with the replacement BD-quality. All had the same filenames. Date added behavior - Use file creation date. I don't use NFO files and non exist in the Gunslinger Girls show directory. Log attached. Thanks, Jim embyserver.txt

But looks like it got the file info. 2023-03-06 16:40:10.786 Info LibraryMonitor: The Light of Venice, The Darkness of the Heart (/volume1/MEDIA/Anime/Gunslinger Girl (2003)/Season 0/0x01 'The Light of Venice, The Darkness of the Heart'.mkv) will be refreshed. 2023-03-06 16:40:10.838 Info MediaProbeManager: ProcessRun 'ffprobe' Execute: /var/packages/EmbyServer/target/bin/ffprobe -i file:"/volume1/MEDIA/Anime/Gunslinger Girl (2003)/Season 0/0x01 'The Light of Venice, The Darkness of the Heart'.mkv" -threads 0 -v info -print_format json -show_streams -show_chapters -show_format -show_data 2023-03-06 16:44:16.328 Info MediaProbeManager: ProcessRun 'ffprobe' Execute: /var/packages/EmbyServer/target/bin/ffprobe -i file:"/volume1/MEDIA/Anime/Gunslinger Girl (2003)/Season 0/0x01 'The Light of Venice, The Darkness of the Heart'.mkv" -threads 0 -v info -print_format json -show_streams -show_chapters -show_format -show_data Only other thing would be removing the file doing a full scan and readding file, but nothing stands out here. Unless there is a Refresh issue on the page. What should the media info look like?
JustSittingHere 4 Posted March 7, 2023 Author Posted March 7, 2023 (edited) I'll try deleting, rescanning and adding back the file. Attached is a MediaInfo dump. Jim MediaInfo.txt Edited March 7, 2023 by JustSittingHere
JustSittingHere 4 Posted March 7, 2023 Author Posted March 7, 2023 Good tip! The delete/scan/add/scan worked and the file is now showing the correct properties. Need a 'Update File Properties' button. Add that to the other 10,000 feature requests Emby has. Thank you for your help. Jim
Happy2Play 9780 Posted March 7, 2023 Posted March 7, 2023 Normally should not have to do anything. But glad it worked out. Also just noticed but is there a reason you are on a older server version "4.7.8.0"? Emby Server for Synology NAS - Emby https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Emby.Releases/releases/download/4.7.11.0/emby-server-synology7_4.7.11.0_x86_64.spk
JustSittingHere 4 Posted March 7, 2023 Author Posted March 7, 2023 That was actually going to be my next question to post. Emby was listed in the Package Center and it installed 4.7.8 and shows the same version as the Newest Online Version. However, the web app shows version 4.7.11 as being available. Do I stop the Emby server and do a manual package install with 4.7.11? Thanks. Jim
