Amazon Fire TV Troubles

I've been having a lot of trouble with Emby on my Fire TV. It seems OK on my other platforms - iOS, browser, AppleTV... but where I want to watch it most, it works just about never these days. It just doesn't load my libraries, or if the thumbnails do show up, it just hangs when I try to drill down into one of them, it will eventually throw an error message about not being able to access the server or live channels. This is even when I'm trying to access files stored on an external HD connected to the MacMini running Emby Server. The main TV is connected via Ethernet, and it's happening with adequate bandwidth. Any guidance appreciated!

Hi.  This sounds like a network issue for the device.  Where is it located in relation to the WAP?

It's not connected to the WIFI network at all; I have it jacked right into the cable modem via ethernet

You might try wireless as it is likely faster on that device.

Honestly haven't tried it yet; though not optimistic because I have a 2nd TV in the bedroom using a Fire Stick, and the WIFI is terrible when compared to the other one that's hard wired. One other piece that could be contributing .. the TV in question is pretty slow overall because of very little HD space. I wonder if that + the old computer running Emby server could be an issue, but then I load a web browser or iOS & it zips along.. I'll give it a try this weekend.

I turned on the TV & decided to test it out again before switching to WIFI. Worked like a charm.
