DLNA works better than the Android App?

I'm pretty new to all of this.

I have emby server on a pretty good laptop, but it's still just a laptop.

I use emby clients on a Firestick 4K, Chrome Web/Windows, WebOS client on LG, and then also access emby via the DLNA interface on LG

I like the emby client UI, I have paid to unlock the Android Edition.

There are times though that it seems to take forever, as in forever, for a stream to start when accessing it from Android. The stream just buffers and buffers... I am not sure what it is going on.

When that happens I can go into my LG TV's DLNA interface, find the the emby server, click on a show and it will start right up. No buffering at all.

I am wondering if there is an explanation of why DLNA performance might be better out of the box than the client performance, and what I can do to make the client performance better.
