Tailored 'Top Results' when using search feature

I know that I can change from the 'top results' tab to shows, Movies, Epsiodes etc to limit the scope of the search. Is there a way to limit what shows under 'top results' though? I personally would like for it to not show episodes in 'top results'. To me its just unnecessarily busy.

Sorry, let me try to explain better. When I search the only things I am honestly looking for is either a movie, a tv show, or someone’s name. What makes it look busy to me and I don’t like is all of the episode matching but more specifically the order of the results. For example, if I type in “mr bean” I have his animated series, the live action series, and the original movie plus mr bean’s holiday. The way I would like for the results to show would be the movies and tv shows with the matching words and then either exclude all the individual episodes or have them listed last. Particularly with mr bean there is a naming convention that each episode is named “mr bean <does something>“ which results in having to nearly always click over on the tv show or movie tab because there are dozens of individual episode names that are listed before what I’m actually searching for. 
 

that is one example but is definitely not limited to that one particular search. I guess another way to say it is I wish I could make the default search act more like Amazon’s, HBO’s, Netflix’s etc and it feels like the easiest way to do that would be for individual episodes to only show up if I were to go to their tab.

HI, that's odd .Can you show a screenshot example? In my testing I get the series before the episodes.

Here is a video of what it’s like on my phone since screen shots with it’s layout wouldn’t be very easy to order and interpret.
just let me know if you would like screenshots of something else like a tv or PC, unfortunately it won’t be until tomorrow that I will be able to get screenshots of either of those.

OK this is an unusual case. The only reason those episodes score so highly in the search results is because they also have Mr. Bean in their episode title. Most of the time with other series this does not occur.

Well that is my issue is that it tends to occur with just about anything. It’s especially bad when I use vague terms. Like if I type in “dragon” I get dozens of random episodes of dragon ball and dragon tales listed higher than movies like ‘how to train your dragon’ or ‘crouching tiger hidden dragon’.

For another example, if I type in “golden” I get the episode ‘golden girls’ from the bay watch tv show and ‘golden boyd’ from cheers higher in the results than ‘the man with the golden gun’. 
 

I guess what I’m trying to say is I don’t believe most people when they are searching are usually looking for a particular episode of a TV show. That being able to simply keep individual tv episodes out of the general search seems like a decently practical solution to helping to keep the results more concise. 

Whether such a change would be doable or would be a pretty big task to implement I don’t know. At the very least, I’m sure you see now what I don’t like about how search results are presented. I’m sure you also use searches in other apps and can see why at least a portion of them don’t include individual episodes.

I'm sure you can see, on a textual basis, those are much better matches for the very generic term you used as the term appears closer to the front and is "more" of the target title as well.

Your assumption that most people aren't searching for episodes, I think is just based on your personal usage and cannot be said for the general public.

But this is the whole reason why we give you the different tabs.  If you are looking for a movie, you would go to the movie result tab, right?
