Is there a way to see when the next episode is due to air?

I know we can turn on missing episodes, but that makes my libary look a bit messy.

is there a way to to display when the next episode of a TV show is due to air prehaps within the show? or is there a plugin that can do this?

No, but they should show under Upcoming tab of your TV show library.

Upcoming is quite usefull, but not for shows that are more than a couple of weeks out, or for when things are returning after a mid-season break.

Then you should take a look at *arr app (or equivalent) for tracking.

That's another step and another interface that isn't friendly for other users. plus i dont want anyone else messing around with those.

Sort of as it depends on how far out TVDB has data for, and you have User-Display setting "Display missing episodes within seasons" enabled as it plays off of Upcoming. 

This is not the same as the setting per library.

Yours will show Unaired.

If TVDB has episode/air date Emby will have it per show as a Virtual db item.

It looks like Upcoming shows only never-aired episodes.  It is not showing upcoming repeats.  FYI.

Correct due to being based on tvdb data.
